The Roadways with Local Name feature class shows the local name of a roadway as derived from event mapping Feature 114, characteristic LOCALNAM from the FDOT Roadway Characteristics Inventory data. This data represents the information collected and reported as of the most recent inventory performed and may not reflect the current conditions.
The FDOT GIS Roads with Local Names feature class provides spatial information on local name of the roadway. The name given to a section of roadway to identify it from other sections of roadway. Local names are important for emergency medical services and law enforcement. This information is required for all roadways, including Active Exclusives.
