Description: This dataset contains the locations of electricity generating plants in Florida from the Emissions and Generation Resource Integrated Database (eGRID). eGRID is a comprehensive source of data on the environmental characteristics of almost all electric power generated in the United States. The preeminent source of emissions data for the electric power sector, eGRID is based on available plant-specific data for all U.S. electricity generating plants that provide power to the electric grid and report data to the U.S. government. Data reported include, but are not limited to, net electric generation; resource mix (for renewable and nonrenewable generation); mass emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and mercury (Hg); emission rates for CO2, NOx, SO2, CH4, and N2O; heat input; and nameplate capacity. eGRID reports this information on an annual basis (as well as by ozone season for NOx) at different levels of aggregation.eGRID2022, released in January 2024 is the seventeenth edition of eGRID. For more information on eGRID please see the following EPA documentation: https://www.epa.gov/system/files/documents/2024-01/egrid2022_technical_guide.pdf. This layer is an update to the FGDL layer EPAEGRID_2021.
Description: This feature class/shapefile represents electric power transmission lines in the State of Florida. Transmission Lines are the system of structures, wires, insulators and associated hardware that carry electric energy from one point to another in an electric power system. Lines are operated at relatively high voltages varying from 69 kV up to 765 kV, and are capable of transmitting large quantities of electricity over long distances. Underground transmission lines are included where sources were available. The following updates have been made since the previous release: 8,653 features added, geographic coverage expanded to include Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, and Virgin Islands. This dataset is an update to the FGDL layer POWERLINES_JUL19. This dataset is a snapshot of a dynamic database and the information was downloaded on 20210630.

Description: Statewide coverage of Wastewater Facility Regulation (WAFR) Facilities. This dataset includes facilities whose current operating status is Active, Closed but Monitored, or Under Construction. Also included are un-permitted facilities for which a permit is required. These facilities are regulated by the following Florida Department of Environmental Protection programs - "Industrial Wastewater Program", "Domestic Wastewater Program", "Phosphate Management Wastewater Program", "Power Plant Management Wastewater Program."
